About Educational Paperwork Soulutions, Inc.

Educational Paperwork Solutions was found in 1997 by Steve C. Ormbrek, a former Special Education Teacher. EPS is a database/document solutions company specializing in education. EPS became a Corporation in 2001. Educational Paperwork Solutions has been successfully providing its services to many SELPA's, districts, and counties in California and Nevada for the last years.

Educational Paperwork Solutions is a company that designs database programs for businesses; specializing in school databases.  We also create customized database programs for general businesses. The databases created by us are extremely user friendly, offer many wonderful time saving features like editable selection fields, and are compatible for use of either a PC or Mac and able to be hosted as a web browser through our partner company WebGlobix.

Steve Ormbrek's Biography

Steve brings ten years of experience teaching Special Education to the development of IEP management software. He has taught Special Education in a variety of age levels, disabling conditions, and settings. He has teaching experience in East St. Louis, the Makah Indian Reservation, and Devereux. His education consists of a BA in Psychology, a BS in Education, and an MA in Educational Technology. Steve is the CEO of Educational Paperwork Solutions, Inc. (EPS).

Our Mission

Because of continuous new legislation, changes in current legislation, and increasing caseloads, Special Education has become more demanding than ever - for both teachers and support personnel. As a special education teacher at La Colina Junior High, I once spent about one-third of my time doing paperwork, logging communication between regular Education Teachers and parents, collecting data, and organizing those materials.

If less time were devoted to paperwork, teachers and support personnel could spend more time designing quality lessons and programs that are aimed to remediate rather than compensate. Special Education paperwork is becoming increasingly difficult to manage. In the nine years I have been teaching special education, I have only seen the situation get worse: budget cuts, increasing caseloads, less support personnel, threats from disgruntled parents, lawsuits, and continuous changes in state/federal legislation.

SESP does what no other IEP program in existence can do:

• it caters to all the special education staff;
• it guides the user as to which forms are required for particular students;
• it takes into account compliance issues and communicates these issues to the user by a message box located in the Main Navigator;
• it reminds the user of upcoming IEP, triennial, review, or meeting dates;
• it is designed to be a simplistic, well organized, and easy to navigate to various forms with "Help" buttons located throughout the program.

The program also alerts the user when required data is missing and will input required data automatically to insure that the user is in compliance.

The forms used in this program can be entirely customized for your school district. For a substantial discount the current forms can be used with your district's headings. Or, EPS will copy your forms in a database format and incorporate them into the SESP Program.
